I have to unplug my wireless transmitter and then plug it back in every time Windows 8 sleeps or restarts. It worked fine before I bought a new computer with a new OS. Any suggestions?

Hello fatmandu,
So far I have been unable to reproduce the issue here, perhaps if you can answer a few questions for me I can narrow in on the issue a bit.
What do you have the RF-RBUSB paired to?
What type of content are you experiencing the issue with?(audio&video/audio only)
From what source (Pandora, Media Player, etc.) are you playing content?
What is the make/model of your computer?

Tom

I have the Bose Companion 3 Multimedia Speaker System plugged directly into the Sender. Plus I have 3 receivers throughout the house. This is the same set up I had before the new computer. It worked fine then.
The content source is irrelavant., though I am mostly using Media Player. There is no sound on anything when my computer wakes up. No matter what program I am using there is no sound until I unplug the USB cord and plug it back in. It works just fine the instant I plug it back in.
My new computer is a Dell Inspirion 660. It has USB 3.0 jacks, whereas my old computer didn't. However, I tried using one of the 2.0's on the computer and it did the same thing. There is something hiding in set-up regarding having the USB ports sleep. I think I told it not to sleep. However, as I currenly HATE Windows 8, I have no idea whether I did it right or not.

Hello fatmandu,
I would recommend enabling USB Selective Suspend in your power options menu, you will see this under advanced options once you have selected a power plan.

Hello ftamandu,
Do you experience this issue if you unplug the RF-RBUSB and just play audio via the computer's speakers or a headset once the PC goes to sleep?

No. I just tried it. I put it to sleep with the RF-RBUSB plugged in. When it woke up I had to unplug and replug in order to get sound. I then put it to sleep with my speakers plugged directly into the speaker jack. When it woke up I was able to play immediately. I would just plug your unit into that outlet, but one of the reasons I bought all of these is so I could use the remote, and I can't use the remote if I'm not using the USB port.

Hello fatmandu,
Unfortunately since I am unable to reproduce the issue here using the RF-RBUSB and a Windows 8 PC I am left with only one conclusion. There is likely some sort of manufacturer specific setting that is causing the issue and as such I would recommend contacting Dell support for further assistance.
