Wireless Surround Sound & Outdoor Speaker

I current use the the Rocketfish Wireless system for my Surround sound rear speakers. I am wanting to get the wireless outdoor speaker system for my patio. Will these 2 units work at the same time or will they clash and cause problems with each other? Thanks

Re: Wireless Surround Sound & Outdoor Speaker

John, My home theatre wireless speaker system is the Rocketfish RF-WTHIB unit. The external speaker system I am considering buying is the Rocketfish RF-RBWS02 speaker system. Basicallty What I am trying to figure out is will the two units play together. Currently I am driving my rear speakers using the RF-WTHIB unit. If I can use the RF-RBWS02 unit where would I connect it to on my  receiver?

Re: Wireless Surround Sound & Outdoor Speaker

Hello cajundrag,

These two units will not function together in tandem, the RF-RBWS02 uses Rocketboost technology and the RF-WHTIB is a more standard 2.4 GHz wireless signal. With that said both will function together in proximity without issue as they use different technology but if I am understanding your inquiry properly they will not work in the manner you are intending.

Re: Wireless Surround Sound & Outdoor Speaker

Ok I am still confused.  Maybe if I explain what I want to do. I want to be able to use the RF-RBWS02 unit on my patio while enteraining outside. I would be listening to the same music as is playing on my home theatre systems. i,e. Pandora? Is this feasible?

Re: Wireless Surround Sound & Outdoor Speaker

Hello cajundrag,

This would only be possible if you split the signal somehow after it leaves the reciever so that it goes out into the sending units for both the RF-RBWS02 and RF-WHTIB. Or also perhaps if your receiver can output to different places at the same time.
