Okay , so i want this same layout , except i have only 5 speakers in the main room , i dont know anything about home audio so i saw this on the manual of the Wireless hd audio starter kit , and i see that in the main room everything is hooked up to an amplifier..., can someone tell which kind of amplifier do i need ( so i could plug my ipod) , or do i need a receiver ??, also i want to know how much power does the wireless receiver can handle so the 2 speakers on the other sound good.

What audio equipment do you currently have? You mentioned that you have 5 speakers and a Rocketfish device. What is the model number of the Rocketfish device? Also, what is the make and model of your speakers? Any other information you can provide would be of use to me so that I can provide the best assistance possible.

i just moved in to this house , the set up was already like this (i have heard it is a strange setup) , so for now this is what i have to work with i dont have money at this time .The only use will be for music.
So , the 5 speakers n the main room have a tag in the back that says "impedance 4ohms , and 12W" , and the 2 speakers in the other room : http://www.sterenshopusa.com/catalog/prod.asp?p=3058 the rocketfish device i would like to use is the RF-RBKIT , but i dont know if the receiver i posted earlier is the right choice for me or i need an amplifier.... im just clueless

I would suggest contacting the manufacturer of the speakers. From the specifications on their website it shows that they are 6 ohms, which meet the requirements of the RF-RBKIT, but I would ask them if they will work with a 42 watt receiver.
